The American Cello Council was
formed in 1982 at the First Americn Cello Congress, at the
University of Maryland when Mstisav Rostopovich was President.
The Congress is a venue for cello education and performance.
In a session on Teaching with Ensembles, John
Kaboff presented the lecture "Creating a clear pulse for young ensembles" and demonstrated with the Bow Lightly's, a cello choir composed of his students.
