The First World
Cello Congress convened at the University of Maryland, College Park in 1988, setting
the stage for an international celebration of the art of cello playing.
In 2000, John Kaboff served on
the Jury for the International Master Class Audition. Eight
of Mr. Kaboff's students performed
works for cello ensemble in an internationally broadcast master class with YoYo Ma.
